In September 2018, I opened the doors of our renovated carriage barn in the Hudson Valley of NY for my first Slow Textiles Retreats. Offering creative workshops in my barn studio has been a dream for over a decade so I’m thrilled to welcome small groups of students to mend, dye, stitch, sew, and explore sustainable living and slow fashion. Each year I’ll offer very limited, thoughtfully-curated, immersive creative workshops in my barn studio. I only offer a few retreats annually and space is very limited. Be sure to sign up for my newsletter to be the first to know of upcoming classes.

August 2019: Mindful Making with Meg McElwee (Sew Liberated) and Katrina Rodabaugh. This three-day workshop focuses on adding meaning to handmade or existing garments. Together we’ll make Forager Vests with added value through stitching, dyeing, and thoughtful design.

December 2018: Slow Stitching Winter Retreat with Katrina Rodabaugh. This one-day workshop focused on hand-stitching, mending garments, and exploring our relationship to slow fashion. This retreat was the final event for the fall 2018 Mending Matters book tour.

September 2018: Slow Textiles Retreat with Katrina Rodabaugh & Sasha Duerr. This three-day workshop focused on local dye plants, mending, and place-based work.
