A limited-offering of beloved fabric scraps from my studio. A curious collection to inspire patching, stitching, and fabric art. This would be a great addition to my new class, Improvised Patching & Stitching for Storytellers & Makers (while supplies last) live online on Thursday, Nov 12.
This pack will include denim, cotton, linen, and wool or silk patches. Some of these patches will be from my plant-dye experiments though I cannot promise particular colors, fibers, or cloths. Some scraps will be from my studio favorites and not, necessarily, dyed by me. The size of the patches will vary greatly from just 2 inches of precious hand-dyed, plant-dyed fabrics to larger scraps upwards of 6 inches. I cannot promise you which scraps you will receive or the exact size. I cannot promise it will be enough for a project you have in mind or to mend a garment—you can check out my Mending Materials Kits for repairs. I am confident this Studio Pack could be a lovely addition to any fabric work that can use small, special, sentimental cloth pieces.
Each pack includes:
-A small collection of small patches from my personal studio, each pack will include at least 10 patches in each set. At least 5 will be hand-dyed by me.
-Two skeins of 100% cotton Sashiko thread—one white and one blue.
-Two metal, sturdy Sashiko needles.
-A custom, 6” wooden ruler.
-A studio postcard.
-Another small, curious surprise meant to add delight!
