I’m hiring a part-time studio assistant to work with me in my Hudson Valley studio. The main focus of this position is supporting the Subscription Craft Kit Program. The main responsibilities include ironing, measuring, and cutting fabric; printing pamphlets; preparing materials and assembling kits. The studio assistant will also package, label, and prep all kits for shipping. Kits are created, assembled, and mailed monthly and studio assistant will need to stay ahead of deadlines. Studio assistant will also inventory all materials on a monthly basis ahead of purchasing deadlines.

Other responsibilities might include: Assisting with workshop preparation as needed; assisting with weekend retreats as needed; assisting with natural dye projects as needed, specifically for the craft kits; organizing and maintaining studio spaces. This position is an entry-level position and will begin at just 5-8 hours a week, though some weeks hours might increase if assistant is available, particularly with retreats. The position is initially a temporary position from December 10, 2018- June 10, 2019 though there might be possibility of expansion.

Studio assistant must be available to work in my barn and home studios in Germantown, NY for 5-8 hours per week between the weekday hours of 9am and 3pm, though there could be opportunities to work from home.
