In September 2018 I opened the doors of our renovated carriage barn in the Hudson Valley of NY for my first Slow Textiles Retreats. Offering creative workshops in my barn studio has been a dream for over a decade so I’m thrilled to welcome small groups of students to mend, dye, stitch, sew, and explore sustainable living and slow fashion. Each year I’ll offer very limited, thoughtfully-curated, immersive creative workshops in my barn studio. I only offer a few retreats annually and space is very limited. Be sure to sign up for my newsletter to be the first to know of upcoming classes.

December 2018: Slow Stitching Winter Retreat with Katrina Rodabaugh. This one-day workshop focused on hand-stitching, mending garments, and exploring our relationship to slow fashion. This retreat was the final event for the Mending Matters book tour and welcomed winter with mindfulness, activism, and creative inspiration.

September 2018: Slow Textiles Retreat with Katrina Rodabaugh & Sasha Duerr. This three-day workshop focused on natural plant dyes foraged from the local landscape, mending existing garments, and how to deepen place-based work to connect with sustainable art practices.
