I created this red yarn wall as a set installation for Hope Mohr Dance as part of the 2011 San Francisco International Arts Festival. The set was commissioned by Hope Mohr in creation of her dance performance, Plainsong. The installation was created by knotting and weaving several skeins of red yarn and intertwining found objects including twigs, dried blossoms, sweater pieces, and crocheted doilies. The wall measures approximately 17 feet wide by 8 feet high. There was a fiber nest made from various raw and spun wools. The show was remounted in May 2012 at Z Space in San Francisco.
