I’m thrilled to announce my second book, Mending Matters: Stitch, Patch, and Repair Your Favorite Denim & More will be published by Abrams Books on October 16, 2018. After nearly three years of work on this book from proposal to publication–this is an absolutely slow fashion dream come true.
Mending Matters contains 22 how-to projects (17 detailed mending projects and 5 projects redesigning secondhand fabrics into hand-stitched accessories); 6 essays on slow fashion and my fast-fashion fast, Make Thrift Mend; 12 inspirational quotes from sustainable fiber artists; extensive resource lists; over 200 color photographs by Karen Pearson; and a foreword by Natalie Chanin of Alabama Chanin. It will be available widely at independent bookstores, online booksellers, and anywhere books are sold. You can pre-order your copy through Abrams Books, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Indie Bound, or Powells.
